BETTER THAN EVER...
2026 Golf Camp
Designed for kids ages 8-14, Duntroon Highlands Golf Camp
Kids will learn the fundamental skills needed to be competent at golf: putting, chipping, driving, and golf etiquette.
This full-day camp offers kids the opportunity to try all aspects of the game, as well as get time on the course. It's the perfect introduction to the new golfer. Non-golf time (yes, they need a break), is filled with other sports and games to keep your kid busy all day long!
Important
SKILL DEVELOPMENT
PUTTING and Chipping
Chipping and putting focus on fun and simple mechanics like the "Y" setup and using putting-like strokes. Playing games to build confidence and control for distance, aiming for soft swings and brushing the grass, not overpowering it - the key is repetition through games and teaching patience and encouraging a smooth stroke.
DRIVING
Driving for kids involves supervised, early exposure to controlled club movements. Starting with small swings and building to full swings, using targets and drills for engagement, and emphasizing a solid stance with bent knees, rather than complex mechanics, to build confidence and good habits
Golf Etiquette
Golf etiquette is essentially important for beginner golfers and focuses on respect for others, the course, and pace of play.
